Explore the natural and historic world of Twin Lakes State Park with a ranger. This program is part of a homeschool series, but all curious kids are welcome. Homeschool Adventure is for children between the ages of 5 to 13 years old and covers a range of topics. Sign up is required at the link found below.
Topics:
MARCH 19 (10 a.m.): "Echolocation Exploration" - This field-based game is a fun and safe way to examine the remarkable abilities of bats and the importance of preserving their habitats. Equipped with black-out goggles, participants will use their hearing and spatial awareness to locate other players.
MARCH 19 (11 a.m.): "Making News with Zines" - Come discover the world of self-publishing! We will be exploring the stories of young men who served in the 1390th Civilian Conservation Corps (C.C.C.) Camp Gallion, and how they spread information and entertainment through their community.
