When
April 20, 2025. 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Spring is in the air; this is prime time for bird watching! Take a guided walk with a ranger alongside meadow and forest to find out who is out and about. We'll search for birds that are year-round residents as well as breeding season migrants. Perhaps we'll see some colorful new arrivals from Central or South America.
Bring binoculars if you have them. If not, we do have a few pairs of binoculars that can be borrowed. See attached file for a bird checklist to print at home.
The walk will be up to one mile depending on the abilities of the group. We will move at an easy pace on mostly flat terrain. The trail can be muddy at times, so please wear comfortable shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.
Register here to let us know you're coming. We will contact you if the program is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
