Visiting the park and looking for a ranger-led activity? Simply email bcguide@dcr.virginia.gov with at least 24 hours notice to submit your request of activity. The activities are free of charge. The location of the activity will be determined by the ranger and held either at a location in the park or at your cabin. Most Request a Ranger activities are suitable for those with mobility impairments. These presentations are given when park staffing levels permit on a "first come, first served" basis. There is a minimum group size of three participants.
The menu topics include, but are not limited to: Spectacular Snakes, Game On (fun games from days gone by), The Beauty of Beavers, Bear Necessities, Discovery Hike, Here We Stand (history and culture)
