Kick off your summer at Staunton River State Park on National Kids to Parks Day. We will be hosting a few programs throughout the day that are perfect for the whole family:
History Hike - 1 p.m.
Wagon Ride - 3 p.m.
Campfire (with FREE S'MORES) - 6 p.m.
Parking fees are required unless you are a cabin or campground guest. Please meet at the State Park Visitor Center for all of the programs.
About National Kids to Parks Day
Virginia State Parks celebrates National Kids to Parks Day on the third Saturday in May by offering a variety of fun, family-friendly activities, from nature scavenger hunts and ranger-led hikes to fishing clinics and flora and fauna wagon rides. This annual event encourages kids to explore the outdoors while learning about wildlife and engaging in hands-on environmental education.
