The perfect way to give back to Mother Earth on Earth Day is by helping to keep it beautiful. Join us as we launch boats into the lake to clean out litter that can sometimes pile up.

Previous boating experience is strongly encouraged. You may bring your own canoe or kayak or use one of the park's. If using park equipment, pre-registration for this program is required by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 18.

About Earth Day

In celebration of Earth Day on April 22, Virginia State Parks offers a range of special events and activities highlighting the importance of conservation and sustainability. Visitors are invited to participate in educational programs, guided nature walks, wildlife observation, tree plantings and service projects to help preserve the beauty and biodiversity of the state’s 43 parks.
