Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Earth Day Fair

We will be celebrating Earth Day with a fair behind our Visitor Center. See what you can do to make this world a better place for everyone. There will be multiple booths from various local organizations covering topics from watersheds, light pollution, animals, crafts for the kids, and guided hikes (11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.). Don't forget to check out our Visitor Center with our live animal displays and exhibits. This day is fun for the whole family!
