VSP History and Culture Day - Ranger Parker Redfox Visit

Smith Mountain Lake State Park, 1235 State Park Rd., Huddleston, VA 24104.
Discovery Center Pavilion
When
June 15, 2024. 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Head on over to the park to meet Ranger Parker Redfox, the Virginia State Parks mascot. Parker is a fox with a mission to help reconnect children with the outdoors, helping them understand the connections between the importance of forest habitats, recreational fun in parks, and the diversity of species in the outdoors. There were six original Virginia State Parks, which all opened June 15, 1936. Do you know which ones they were? Do you know how many Virginia State Parks there are today? Discover the answers here at Smith Mountain Lake State Park and join the park guide for some fun and foxy crafts.
