Gather with us at Cullers Overlook to watch the Geminids Meteor Shower! 

Visitors can expect to see as many as 100 meteors per hour! This shower got its name from the famous constellation Gemini because these meteors appear to originate from the constellation. A ranger will be stationed at the overlook to help you find Gemini, discuss the phenomenon of this meteor shower and tell the tale of how the Shenandoah River got its famous nickname, Daughter of Stars.

Please bring a lawn chair and wear warm clothes!! Hot chocolate will be provided on site. 

This event is free, but standard parking fees apply. Please use the yellow, self-pay envelopes on the side of the contact station to pay the parking fee.
