First Day Hike - The Confederate Navy and Marines

For the 2024 First Day Hike, join a park ranger for a guided history hike down the Custis Lee Trail. Visitors are invited to hike with a ranger and stop periodically along the way to gain better insight to the battle and landscape while discussing some lesser known aspects of the fighting and park site.

We invite visitors to meet at the Visitor Center shortly before noon. Visitors are encouraged to dress comfortably and wear close toed shoes. This program is FREE and is leashed pet and family friendly. Portions of this hike may be altered or cancelled by unpredictable weather conditions.
