Step back in time with us as we uncover the stories of those at rest in the historic cemetery and honor the families who lived on the land where the park now sits.

We will walk by the old farm fields where people once lived and worked to the place where many are laid to rest. Tucked away in a shady grove of forest surrounded by those fields, blooming lilies, yucca, field stones, and graves represent the lives of loved ones long since passed. One headstone in particular will be the focus of our contemplation...who was Alpheus Hudson? What was his life like? Who was his wife? By weaving together historical records, period photographs, and our own imagination, we will uncover some of his untold story. What do we know, and what may forever remain a mystery?

The walk will be at an easy pace and will last about an hour.
