How about going for a hike to look for fossils? From the tiniest of shark teeth to a whopping whale skeleton, the fossils of Horsehead Cliffs show that life was once very different at Westmoreland.

This ranger guided hike will take you 0.6 miles to Fossil Beach. Bring water, hat and sunscreen, and hiking shoes. Feel free to stop inside the Visitor Center before the scheduled time of this hike to purchase a seize, though this is not necessary for fossil hunting (but it does help).

Meet at the Discovery Center.
