Please join us in the Campground, this Independence Day, for a Flag Retirement Ceremony.

The United States Flag Code states, “The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem of display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.”

The American Legion welcomes you to attend an official flag retirement ceremony on July 4th at 11:00 a.m. The ceremony will begin with some background information as to why the flag is retired this way.

There is no set end time for the ceremony at this time, as the ceremony will conclude when the last flag received has been retired. Guests are invited to bring any flags in need of retiring to the ceremony.

Have a happy and safe Fourth of July.
