In the 18th century, advances in production saw toy soldiers made from tin, lead and composite. These small pocket-sized military themed figurines soared in popularity the late 19th Century.

Figurines representing combat have even been found in the tombs of ancient pharaohs. War has always been a part of human history, with one side proving victorious, strong morality messages of honor and valor, and today many children still play with toy soldiers and stage imaginary war scenarios.

Meet at the Visitor Center.
