Join Belle Isle State Park and the Northern Neck Master Naturalists in celebrating Girl Scouts Love State Parks Day!

9:30 – Noon In Nature Discovery Stations

You wood not be-leaf all the secrets that nature will reveal. Join us at the car top launch to dig deeper into the natural world with fun craft and activity stations. Each activity will get you one step closer to earning a badge.

1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Monarch Tagging Experience

Meet back at the car top launch to help Northern Neck Master Naturalists collect and tag monarch butterflies for citizen science. Each monarch is tagged with a unique code that helps identify where and when they migrate through the Monarch Watch program.

5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Music by the River: Karen Jonas Band

Finish out the evening with a free concert in the picnic area featuring the Karen Jonas Band.

If these activities don’t fit your schedule, the park also has several self-guided activities you can pick up at the Camp Store.

Pre-registration is strongly recommended. Please follow all your best scouting guidelines: be prepared for outdoor activities, wear closed-toe shoes, and bring a reusable water bottle.
