Come on out to Chippokes State Park and discover what is left of a forgotten historic roadway on this ranger-led hike. Learn about historic transportation routes, the area's first inhabitants, how Chipoax Trace once had a toll system in place due to its heavy use by a particular owner of Chippokes, as well as natural history along College Run Creek.

This trace trail takes visitors from rolling farm fields, into canopied woodlands, up and down inclines, and to a worthwhile scenic view of the beautiful salt marshes of Chippokes. Parking is available at the Chipoax Trail along Chippokes Farm Road to join in on the hike at the Trailhead.

The Tram ride has only 16 spots available. Please sign up in-advance at the Visitor Center or call 757-294-3728 to reserve your spot(s). The tram ride will begin at the Farm & Forestry Museum parking lot.
