When

May 27, 2023. 8:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Once the sun has slipped out of sight let the moon be your guide as we travel the trails looking and listening for the wildlife that can be found in our park. As we navigate the trails, we’ll discuss the native owls and night birds of Virginia, engage them in conversation, and try to see them up close. This is a ranger-guided program so if you are new to the outdoors and night hiking, it is a great program for you. As long as the skies are clear, we will also be able to see beautiful stars and constellations along the way. Bring a flashlight but be prepared to turn it off when needed. Wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes.

There is no fee for this program. Parking fees are required to enter the park unless you are a cabin or campground guest.
