Local author, historian, and minister Reverend Emanuel Hyde III will provide a presentation about his book, The Unsung African American Heroes of Amelia County, Vol. 1. This free, family-friendly program will shed light on the triumphant exploits of many Amelia County natives since its founding in 1735, including early Civil Rights Advocate Robert Russa Moton who was born at the Hillsman House on park property. Following the presentation, guided tours of the Hillsman House will be provided.
