Chippokes Bird Count

As long as it’s not too much of a birden, help us showcase the wonderful variety of birds that inhabit the Park. We invite all guests, of all ages, to consider participating in our self -guided Chippokes Bird Count.

The bird checklists will be available in the main lobby of the Visitor Center from February 15th- February 21st. Let's see which species we can spot. We will be utilizing an iNaturalist Project Page for all findings, photos, and observations. Go to the iNaturalists Projects Page and search for Chippokes State Park: February Bird Count. If you do not yet have an iNaturalist account, it is free to make one.

Be sure to stop by the Visitor Center after your birding adventures to share your wildlife observations on our wildlife sightings board before you leave. Share with others visiting the park, whether or not you saw something rare, special, or common, your observations or notes, and where and when you saw the wildlife. If you'd like to help us out even more, you can turn in your Bird Count at the Visitor Center when you've finished. We plan to tally up all the findings turned in.
