Archery Range
When
March 1, 2023 8:00 a.m. - Dec. 3, 2023 4:00 p.m.
The park offers one of the few 3D archery ranges in the Central Virginia region. A level walk along the range trail will take you to ten different stations in a woodland setting
The range design and layout is representative of ranges developed by the National Field Archery Association and the International Bowhunting Organization. The lanes are a combination of paper or mesh targets and 3D targets. The length of the lanes vary between 25 and 45 yards. In addition, a sighting-in target is in place with distance markers at 20, 30 and 40 yards. The sighting-in lane is closed when archery classes are in session. Equipment rentals are not available.
Archery Range daily fees are $3 for each youth aged 3 to 15, and $5 per person aged 15 years and older. Annual Passes are available at the park office for $45. A daily park-wide parking pass is required. The park also offers basic archery instructional sessions, and hosts an Archery Club for adults 18 years and up.
