Visiting the park and looking for a ranger-led activity? Simply email bcguide@dcr.virginia.gov at least three days in advance of when you would like to have one of the Request a Ranger (RaR) activities. The activities are free of charge. The location of the activity will be determined by the ranger and held either at a location in the park or at your cabin. Most RaR activities are suitable for those with mobility impairments. RaR presentations are given when park staffing levels permit on a “first come, first served” basis. Minimum group size of three participants.

The winter menu topics include: Spectacular Snakes, Game On (fun games from days gone by), The Beauty of Beavers, Bear Necessities, Discovery Hike, Here We Stand (history and culture)
