Christmas Bird Count

Location of Lake Anna State Park in Virginia

Where

Lake Anna State Park, 6800 Lawyers Rd., Spotsylvania, VA 22551.
Visitor Center

When

Dec. 18, 2022. 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

As winter weather approaches and food becomes scarce, birds start to make their way south. Join the Rangers and Master Naturalist volunteers as we scan the skies, identify calls and even snap a few photos of the wide variety of birds that take refuge on the shores and waterways of Lake Anna.

The event is open to everyone, whether you're a beginning bird watcher or an expert.  You can contribute to the Audubon Society’s annual Christmas Bird Count. Bring your binoculars and warm weather gear. It's free, fun, and easy…and it helps the birds.
