A cold beverage is even better at the end of a great day outside! Join REI for a guided hike of the Piedmont Overlook Loop in Sky Meadows State Park, a gem of a park nestled into the Blue Ridge mountains. This hike is just over 5 miles, and includes spectacular views of the Piedmont and a section of the fabled Appalachian Trail. When we get back to the trailhead, we're not done! We'll drive a short distance to another peak Blue Ridge experience: the farm-to-pint brewing of Dirt Farm Brewing in Bluemont, Virginia. This 400 acre farm grows many of the ingredients that go into their excellent beverages, and their taproom has gorgeous outdoor patio with more spectacular views. REI will provide a hiking guide, as well as buy your first beverage at Dirt Farm after the hike wraps up. We'll spend an hour at the brewery before saying good bye. If you want to enjoy some more of Dirt Farm's offerings, feel free! Please plan on packing your own lunch and snacks for this trip - we'll take care of the rest.
