Nov. 11, 2022. 11:11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

The American Legion is the nation’s largest veterans wartime service organization. Our local Smithfield's American Legion will be leading a Veteran's Day Flag Retirement Ceremony within the campground.  Veteran's Day calls for remembrance and honoring those who have served or continue to serve America and their communities. This event allows us to not only dispose of the American flag in the proper way, but to also honor our veterans.

Everyone is invited to the ceremony to properly retire their own worn, tattered or damaged flags during the event in which flags will be burned. The ceremony will conclude once all flags have been retired. We hope that you consider attending this powerfully moving and patriotic event. Help us respectfully honor and pay tribute to Old Glory.
