Enjoy a 1 mile trek through the woods and along agricultural fields, eventually ending with a salt marsh overlook, as you learn about an important trade route. Hidden within the woods lies a forgotten road that once took travelers products to the James River.

Join a ranger as we discover this road and what stories it may have to tell, and view the beauty of Chippokes along the way.

Guests will enjoy a short tram ride to and from the start of the trail. We recommend bringing water, close-toed shoes, bug spray, and a hat for this adventure. Free and open to all ages.
