Become a prospector as we follow in the footsteps of "Stampmill Sam". We'll visit the Goodwin Gold Mine and discover how gold was mined in Virginia in the late 1800's. Then we'll pan for gold on the shores of the quartz laden creek nearby. Please wear sturdy shoes and be prepared for a short hike to the mine site.

Please Note: We appreciate exact change whenever possible as our Visitor Center may be closed some weekends in October. If the Visitor Center is closed we will not be able to make change or process credit cards. The staff thank you.

Pre-registration required. Space is limited to the first 12 confirmed registrations.
$2 each or $6 per family.
