Want an opportunity to give back to New River Trail State Park while also learning something new about the park? Come out to Hoover Mountain Bike Complex on National Public Lands Day and spend time assisting rangers on maintaining trails. Along the way, you'll learn about the history of Hoover Mountain and the wildlife that calls the mountain home. Kids, families, couples, individuals, are all welcome. Bring your own water, snacks, gloves, and any trail maintenance tools you prefer. Wear closed-toed shoes as we will be hiking around the mountain. We will provide maintenance tools. No entrance fee applies for those volunteering their time and efforts to New River Trail State Park.
