Although Northern Virginia suffers from light pollution, on a moonless night, away from direct illumination, many celestial bodies can be observed. As they come into view, Rangers will discuss the constellations and other celestial bodies, identification techniques and some of the ancient myths and lore associated with these heavenly objects.
