Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Evening Drift Canoe Tour

When

Aug. 31, 2022. 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

As the sun begins to set and the wildlife start to come out of their hiding places, join the park interpreters for a relaxing and fun evening canoe drift on the lake. Open to paddlers of all experience levels.
Space is limited - Pre-registration required at our Visitor Center. Registration closes at 4:00 p.m. the day of tour.

$5 per person, shoes required that stay on feet (for safety reasons NO flip-flops). For ages 6 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.


Snack, water, hat, insect repellent, and sunscreen recommended. You may also want to bring binoculars or a camera.
