Younger kids often get left out of recreational activities, but at the same time, they’re the ones with so much curiosity and creativity and so much to learn. Nature Tykes programs are for kids aged 4 to 7 years old and held Thursdays from 10-11 a.m.
The activities will feature age appropriate inquiry and exploration as well as nature crafts. All materials are provided. Participants will need to bring their own snacks and water. This adventure will begin at the beach area with restrooms readily available. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult who is welcome to participate. Participants must wear closed-toe footwear. The program is free but we ask that you register in advance at the park office (804-492-4410).
Groups may make special arrangements for this program to be presented to them at a different time. Please email inquiries to: bcguide@dcr.virginia.gov.
