Yes, you too can canoe. Canoes are stable and easy to control, despite what you might have heard. The trip includes a brief overview of canoeing safety and techniques, and detailed, on-the-water interpretations of natural and cultural features. All equipment will be provided, and program is suitable for ages 6 and up.

Boats are limited and attendees must register in advance at the park office or by calling 804-796-4255. The program fee is $10 per person. Fees must be paid upon registration. Please bring plenty of water, snacks and sunscreen, wear close-toed shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty and/or wet. Please arrive 15 minutes early. Event is subject to cancellation due to inclement weather.
