What's a camping trip without a campfire? Join us around the campfire, and meet your camping neighbors. Learn the history of Smith Mountain Lake and how the state park got its start. This is a great way for the family to wind down after a busy day and, of course, there will be marshmallows to roast. This program is FREE.

If the weather is unsuitable come to the Discovery Center for a campfire under the Picnic Pavilion. Please call the Main Office at (540) 297-6066 at least 30 minutes before the campfire is to start to verify the program location.
