Have you been looking for a reason to get out and explore New River Trail? Here's your chance! Join a park ranger on an easy 3 mile walk along the New River Trail and learn about the history of the railroad and mine operations in the Galax area while enjoying the sights and sounds of Chestnut Creek. You will have a chance to relax at Chestnut Falls before returning to Dannelly Park. Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed. Bathrooms are located at Dannelly Park and visitors are encouraged to bring water and comfortable shoes.
