Looking at Leaves

Where
Pocahontas State Park, 10301 State Park Rd., Chesterfield, VA 23832.
Visitor Center
When
May 7, 2022. 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Tree species can be identified by looking at several different features: leaves, bark, twigs, flowers, fruit, and seeds. Even the overall shape of a tree can give us clues to the tree's identity.
Stop by the visitor center to grab a self-guided leaf kit and take a look at leaves to learn how to identify common trees. This program will include an 'unbe-leaf-able' craft and meets Virginia Standards of Learning. Suitable for all ages and abilities.
