Wildflower Symposium

Where
Bear Creek Lake State Park, 22 Bear Creek Lake Rd., Cumberland, VA 23040.
Bear Creek Hall
When
April 30, 2022. 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
The park is home to a multitude of wildflowers from springtime to autumn, and so we are delighted to partner again with the Central Piedmont Chapter of the Virginia Master Naturalists in hosting a Wildflower Symposium.
Two wildflower walks will be offered concurrently and will be guided by naturalists who will point out various wildflowers that are growing not only in Bear Creek Lake State Park, but also in most woodlands in central Virginia. After the walks, three short indoor presentations will be given.
Craft activities for children will be offered during the speakers’ presentations, and light refreshments will be offered prior to the wildflower walks and during the presentations. Participants are encouraged to wear shoes appropriate for trail walking and weather appropriate clothing. The program is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted.
To register, email your name and number of adult and child participants to Betsy Lookofsky: betsyandal@lookofsky.com.
