Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Eagle Tour

The Bald Eagle, one of America's greatest comeback stories, soars free over the Potomac River.

The tour begins with a brief talk on the history and biology of the eagle and why so many can be found at Caledon. Near the river, we aim to watch eagles as they soar and perch over the shoreline and water. Binoculars will be provided in limited supply.

Reservations are required as space is limited. To reserve your spot, give us a call or stop by the Visitor Center. Parking fee is $5.
