Started in 2016 as a competition between San Francisco and Los Angeles, the City Nature Challenge (CNC) has grown into an international event, motivating people around the world to find and document wildlife in their cities. Join us as we celebrate the nature in and around urban areas by documenting all the species we can find. To get started, visit citynaturechallenge.org.
Afterwards, download the iNaturalist app from the AppStore or Google Play, sign in and start sharing your observations. You'll get feedback from actual scientists, experts, and other naturalists. Visit the park between April 29 and May 2 to find plants, animals, or any other evidence of life found and then take a picture and share through the iNaturalist App.
