Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Twilight Paddle Adventures are a great way to spend an evening away from the hustle and bustle of work, traffic and the cares of life. Follow the expert guides as they lead you along Belmont Bay in the evening and into Kane's Creek, a pristine preserve for waterfowl, animals and a retreat for humans. As the light begins to fade so do the sounds of the daytime animals and nocturnal animals start to make their voices heard.

Children are not allowed on twilight paddles. We encourage all guest to arrive 15 minutes early to get fitted for PFDs and receive basic paddling instructions. Please bring water and know that clothing may get wet. 

Reservations are required and can be made by calling 703-339-2385 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Payment is due at the time of registration. We accept cash, personal check, Visa, Master Card and Discover.
