Enjoy a summer day by joining a ranger for a hike out to the Smyth Trail were we will learn a bit about the natural world, from the trees to the birds found in Virginia's summer woods. We will gather at the River Road parking area.
The Smyth Trail is two miles from the River Road parking area and itself is two miles long through the Rochelle Tract woods. The entire six mile hike will take approximately three hours to complete.
Please bring appropriate footwear, water, snacks, insect repellent, and sunscreen.
Parking is available at River Road with a $5 fee.
