Fire and smoke were used by Virginia’s First Peoples for clearing land, felling trees, hollowing out massive logs, and “s’more”! Pre-register to learn how fire was used to topple trees and participate in scraping out our park canoe using shells and flames where your hard efforts will be rewarded with a sweet and tasty s’more.
This program is ideal for participants ages 8+ and pre-registration is required through the park office to include a $5 charge which covers all supplies. The program will meet at the outdoor classroom located off the car top boat launch parking area.
