In June 1936, the Virginia State Park system began with the opening of six state parks on one day; on our 86th anniversary, there are now 41 parks. Staunton River State Park is one of the original six, so come celebrate this day by exploring this historic park at your own pace.
This program is self-guided and will not require registration. Stop by the visitor center to pick up a brochure that details our park's fascinating points of interest.
