Join the rangers to get a glimpse into the lives of several different conservation career fields. Who knows, these programs could spark a lifelong interest in your little one or provide you with a new career path or volunteer opportunity.
10 a.m. - Tweets & Treats: Dive into the world of ornithology with a beginner friendly bird walk. Learn basic bird identification and learn more about your feathered friends.
12 p.m. - Fish 'FUNdamentals': Have you ever heard of an ichthyologist? Who knew that studying fish would have such a 'FINtastic' name. Discovering new things about our fish and lakes.
2 p.m. - Radical Reptiles: Slither on over to explore herpetology, the field studying amphibians and reptiles. Debunk a few common misconceptions about them.
4 p.m. - Another Day, Another Dollar: Become a historian as you tour the Civilian Conservation Corps Museum.
6 p.m. - Roast with a Ranger: Go home smelling like a park ranger after experiencing one of the best perks of the job – a campfire! Chat about camp fire safety and what it takes to be a ranger.
