Where

Belle Isle State Park, 1632 Belle Isle Rd., Lancaster, VA 22503.
Various Locations

When

April 23, 2022. 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Are you looking to do some good this Earth Day? Join us to clean up Belle Isle State Park. For those wanting to strike out on your own down a trail, you can pick up trash bags and gloves at the Camp Store between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. While you are there, pick up free materials to make a "seed bomb" to take home! Meet up at the Picnic Area between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. for a Picnic Area and shoreline clean-up followed by a recycling program starting at 11:15. We will discuss what can be recycled and how it helps our planet. Or, if you prefer to go on a ranger-led hike to the Neck Fields Loop trail to learn about the history of Earth Day, pick up trash along the way and maybe see a Bald Eagle, meet at 1:00 p.m. at the Equestrian Parking Lot. This hike is roughly two and a half miles round trip and will take about two hours to complete.

Wear comfortable, closed-toed shoes, bring your water bottle and bug spray, and join us to "Invest in our Planet".
