When
May 19, 2022. 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Immerse yourself in nature’s classroom and tap into your creativity as we stroll along the trails, tune into our senses, and record our observations. Through guided instruction, you’ll learn simple sketching and writing techniques to start or continue your own nature journal. You'll find that observational drawing and writing will make you a keener observer, help you learn, and enable you to convey the memory or essence of places and living beings around you. At each session, we’ll focus on something different – from intricate tiny moss worlds, to intriguing elements of the forest, to vibrant wetland landscapes. Bring a pencil and an unlined notebook with you, or purchase a sketching set at the park office. Trails are easy to moderate. All skill levels welcome. For adults 18 years and older. Advance registration is not required. For more information email: bcguide@dcr.virginia.gov
