Earth Day Eagle Hike and Trash Clean-Up

Location of Belle Isle State Park in Virginia

Where

Belle Isle State Park, 1632 Belle Isle Rd., Lancaster, VA 22503.
Equestrian Parking Lot

When

April 23, 2022. 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Earth Day is a day to celebrate our natural world. Get outdoors and take a hike to the Neck Fields Loop, learn Earth Day history, maybe see a Bald Eagle, hear how the nature writer, Rachel Carson, helped save the endangered eagle through her writing, and do our part picking up any litter along the way. It is roughly two and a half miles round trip so plan for a two hour hike. Wear comfortable closed toed shoes, bring a water bottle and bug spray.

We will meet at the Equestrian Parking Lot and will have trash bags available.
