Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

National Trails Day

We will have a self-guided "Hike-a-Thon" where we challenge you to hike all four of our park trails in one day! Pick up your specialized Hiker's Guide at the visitor center. If you complete all four trails before closing time then you can claim your trail prize also at the visitor center.

In honor of Clean the Bay Day, join our Stewardship Saturday Crew at 9 a.m. as we go out to collect trash and perform maintenance on our trails to keep them in top shape for hikers, bikers, and horseback riders alike.

Also, participate with our rangers and volunteers as we host a trail scavenger hunt at Skyline Trail. Check at the visitor center for details. Monitor our website and social media sites for more information, updates, and ways you can be involved.
