The Fall 2022 installment of the Staunton River Star Party will again be sponsored by CHAOS (Chapel Hill Astronomical and Observational Society) and hosted by Staunton River State Park. This week long astronomy festival has gained the attention of astronomers from all over the eastern seaboard and beyond. Registration for this event is required and is run by CHAOS. Astronomers are allowed to camp on the Observation Field during this event. If you are interested in making a campground or cabin reservation for the Star Party, please contact the park. Bathrooms, showers, and food service are offered by the park during this event. Please note the entire event is NOT open to the public; however, the public is invited to attend the Observation Session on October 28, which runs during this festival.
