June 4, 2022. 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

You can make a positive difference to our park, our locality, the health of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed and, by extension, the Atlantic Ocean. This is a self-guided cleanup along the trail from the Camp Paradise parking area, and includes the Prince Edward County side of the Appomattox River floodplain under High Bridge. This alternative cleanup is geared for families and children with guardians. The items that we expect participants to encounter are less hazardous than those found at the guided cleanup. Trash bags will be available. Closed-toe work shoes or boots and long pants are strongly suggested. We will have water available on site. Progress will be satisfying, and you will definitely see the positive impact that you will have helped to accomplish.
