The park will host its annual First Day Hike with a guided hike on Lake Keokee. The Lake Keokee loop trail is a beautiful 3.5 miles and features beautiful scenic views of the forest and Lake Keokee. This is a moderate hike. Participants may meet staff and caravan to the trail head parking lot, or they may choose to meet at the trail head at Lake Keokee at 1 p.m. as an alternative to caravanning. Participants should wear appropriate footwear and clothing. In case of inclement weather the hike will be canceled.

The park will follow all Covid 19 guidelines in place at the time the program is offered.
