Did you know that the five-string banjo was invented in this area?  The banjo has played an important part in American history and mountain life.  Join us for an educational and fun program telling the life of the banjo. Hear some live music from original 19th-century banjos. Bring some comfortable chairs and relax. Meet at the Visitor Center.
