Holiday Weath Making Workshop

Participates will lbe able to make a one of a kind winter wealth using
natural beauty of native evergreens.

With the leaves almost all fallen, the evergreen trees are more noticeable as you look at the forested landscapes of Virginia. Eastern Red Cedar, various species of pine trees and American Holly make their debut and herald in the soon to be winter season. What a great time of year. It is time for winter wreath making!

The workshop fee includes grave vine wreaths, floral wire, evergreens and an embellishment.

The staff of Powhatan State Park is excited to offer a Winter Wreath Making Workshop on December 7, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Park Office. All ages welcome.

You will have an opportunity to show your creativity to make a one of a kind winter wreath to display on your front door using the natural beauty of native evergreens. This is a great way to prepare for the winter holidays and create memories with family and friends in the newest Virginia State Park.

This workshop is a great way to prepare for the winter holidays and create memories with family and friends in the newest of Virginia State Parks.

The workshop has a $20 fee for the cost of materials which include grape vine wreaths, floral wire, evergreens and an embellishment all provided at the workshop. You are welcome to make an additional wreath for $10 more.

There are only 30 wreaths available, so please register early. You may call the Park Office at 804-598-7148 or by email. Be sure to include your name and the number of wreaths you wish to secure.

Drive Time: Drive Time: Northern Virginia, two hours; Richmond, 45 minutes; Tidewater/Norfolk/Virginia Beach, two and a half hours; Roanoke, three hours.
